Friends of the blog (love you!) know how much I love my Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation (detailed review here). Today I'm so excited to be able to share my thoughts with you all on the Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder. I've been getting a lot of requests on Instagram to review it, and I'm so glad to be able to finally get into the nitty gritty for all of you.

Dior’s Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder is the best makeup I've tried in a long time.

No-Powder Powder is described as a multi-use powder that instantly blurs imperfections and reduces shine, leaving your skin looking flawless. You can also use it over your foundation for setting or to create a sun-kissed effect, depending on the intensity of the chosen shade.

The formula comes in 10 shades that range from fair to dark, all of which have neutral undertones. My skin is quite fair with a combination of worm and neutral undertones; the first-lightest shade 0N is a near-perfect match for me, even though I thought it would be too light at first glance. It's just so unbelievably perfect that I have no idea how they managed to get it right on the first try—it's like they knew exactly what my skin needed!

The first thing I noticed about this product is how lightweight it feels on my skin—it definitely doesn't feel like a traditional powder in the market would. It also has a sheer finish that might not be so great if you have oily skin (like me!). So when I put this on in the morning, I have to double-check that my makeup hasn't melted off by lunchtime.

The second thing I noticed was how long it lasted: even after ten hours at work and three workouts during the week, my makeup still looked fresh as ever! So while it may not be quite as good at controlling oil production as other powders out there, it definitely delivers when it comes to staying power.

Shades and Colors

I think Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder has quite a good range of shades and because they are all very sheer, I think most people should find a match. 

There are ten neutral shades:

0N – fairly light skin with neutral undertones

1N – fair skin with neutral undertones

2N – light skin with neutral undertones

3N – light-medium skin with neutral undertones

4N – medium skin with neutral undertones

5N – tanned skin with neutral undertones

6N – deeply tanned skin with neutral undertones

7N – deep skin with neutral undertones

8N – very deep skin with neutral undertones

9N – deepest skin with neutral undertones

The best thing about this powder is how finely milled it is —this powder is really soft and blends easily with brushes or your fingers. It does not get cakey at all, even if you layer them on top of each other. Another thing that makes this powder so great is its longevity—it stays put all day without fading or getting oily on the skin.

How To Use It

You can apply this powder with a brush, puff, your fingers, or even a sponge.

How?

This setting powder is perfect for anyone who wants to get that perfect "no makeup" look. It's got a sheer finish, so it's great for those of us who want to even out our skin tone and keep shine at bay.

Formula & Packaging

The formula is the same for all colors, but the shades are designed to match every skin tone and undertone. The powder comes in a transparent plastic case with a clear lid that opens up to reveal the product inside. It's compact enough to take with you on-the-go without weighing down your bag or taking up too much room in your makeup bag. The shade I have is 0N (very fair skin with a neutral undertone), which works perfectly as a setting powder on my fair skin tone.

The formula is very finely milled, which means it won't clog pores or make your skin feel heavy. The powder itself is translucent and doesn't contain any SPF, so if you're looking for a product that provides sun protection as well as coverage then this isn't for you. I personally prefer to use this as my setting powder rather than applying it all over my face because of this reason.

Application and Finish

Once you’ve applied the powder, it feels invisible on the skin. It doesn’t feel like there is a ton of product on your face, but it still manages to set makeup beautifully. I find that if I use this with my foundation and want some extra setting power, I can always go in with another layer at the end and it still feels lightweight.

I have found that this powder works well in hot and sweaty situations too! Whenever we are working out or spending time outdoors (or even just walking around), our bodies tend to sweat more than they do when we're indoors. This can cause our makeup to melt off and look patchy/cakey/gross almost instantly! Having this powder nearby has saved me from having to go home early because of my makeup looks terrible—it helps keep everything together so long as you remember to reapply every once in a while throughout the day!

What's incredible about it is that you can't feel it on the skin.

The powder is so light that you can’t even feel it on your skin. It doesn't look white when applied and leaves no residue, which means it's also invisible and natural looking.

• It’s mattifying:

Because of its weightlessness, the powder absorbs excess oil so that you stay shine-free for hours—even in a hot summer day! This is perfect for anyone who wants to avoid looking like a grease ball all day long.

• Long-lasting:

The Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder does not cause any flashbacks when used with flash photography.

Pros

• The price is reasonable (depending on where you buy it).

Cons 

I wish the packaging came with a mirror and a small spine for a quick touch up it would handy. 

Conclusion

And there you have it! I have been using this for a few weeks now, and I am completely in love with it. It's my new favorite face powder, and I don't think I'll be switching anytime soon.

It's also got a subtle shimmer that only becomes visible in direct light —not enough to make your skin look oily or shiny, but just enough to give it a bit of glow.

Also, if you want to set your eye area, but don’t want anything that will settle in fine lines or exacerbate the look of dehydration, this is perfect again. I absolutely love this.

Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder is the perfect finishing touch to your makeup routine. It's lightweight, yet provides buildable coverage. It soaks up excess oil on your skin, but never looks cakey or powdery!

Overall, I highly recommend this product if you're looking for something that gives you a beautiful finish but still feels light on your skin!
