Today I'm sharing my Fenty Beauty snap shadows review with you. It's a pretty simple story: I was walking through Sephora and spotted this palette in the Fenty Beauty section, and I was immediately drawn to it. As much as I knew I wasn't supposed to buy anything that day, it was such a beautiful and different palette that I couldn't help myself—I broke down and bought it!

After having it for a couple of weeks now, I still don't know why I bought it in the first place. But at least now I can tell you all about how amazing these colors are!

The brand describes Snap ‘em & stack ‘em. Snap Shadows Mix & Match Eyeshadow Palettes, the first mini palette of its kind, snap together, allowing you to customize your perfect combo to take with you on the go.

Each mini 6-pan palette has a distinct color story, ranging from smoky to pastel to the ideal lowkey neutrals for your skin tone. Packed with rich, smooth, blendable color in a rainbow of matte, shimmer, and glitter finishes, each shade was specifically chosen by Rihanna to deliver only the colors you'll actually want to use—no more wasted shades!

Packaging

I really love the branding and packaging style of Fenty Beauty, and this eyeshadow is no exception.

This palette comes in a beautiful white plastic packaging with the logo and number "10" printed on it. I think this makes for a very simple yet stylish look—I love how it looks like spray paint! I find it to be so cute and add some fun to the otherwise very simple packaging.

The palette also includes a mirror, which is always a plus when you are traveling or just trying to get ready on the go.

Formula, Texture 

These eyeshadows' performance in terms of the formula is good but not outstanding, in my opinion. The matte colors feel incredibly smooth and buttery, have good pigmentation, and blend well on the eyes. The metallic colors, though, seem a little strange to me. They have good pigmentation, but they have a dry, powdery feel to them. I think the pigmentation on the colors "Need Receipts" and "Direct Deposit" is terrible. I really believe that if I want a good result, I must work hard.

I do genuinely adore this product's color scheme. It's shaded that I would undoubtedly use it every day, in fact. I'm completely obsessed with green eyeshadow, so that palette is fantastic for me!

Top Row

Phat Pockets is a gorgeous emerald green metallic with cool undertones.

Need Receipts is a light golden green with a metallic sheen to it.

Thyme is Money is a bright lime green matte lipstick.

Bottom Row

Rubbadandz is a warm undertoned olive brown with a matte finish.

Direct Deposit is a metallic medium green with a cool undertone and a golden sheen.

Flash Money is a genuine yellow gold with a warm undertone.

It's a super rich color and easy to blend, and the palettes snap together so you can pair your favorite shades. This set features two matte eyeshadows and four shimmery eyeshadows—the perfect mix of colors that work well together.

The color story works well together with one exception: Rubbabandz, which is quite warm and lacks the depth to pair well with most shades in the palette. A deeper, matte green or cooler black-brown could have worked well here, I think.

Application 

This palette is all about mixing and matching. The shadows are all made in the same neutral tones, so you can mix and match them to create your own unique look—whether that means using one palette or two palettes together.

Each palette comes with a glittery shade that can be applied using your finger, so you can get the maximum impact without needing any other tools.

Just follow these simple steps:

• Use your preferred eye primer on the lids and give it a minute to set for the best results.

• Apply shadows using your fingertips or any eyeshadow brush.

• Use each palette individually or pick two of your favorites and combine them to make your own unique portable 12-pan collection! 

• For maximum effect, use your finger to apply the glitter and metallic colors.

Wear 

These shadows maintain their intensity for 6–7 hours with little fading. For best results, I do advise using an eye primer.

Verdict 

7 out 10 for Fenty Beauty Snap Shadows

To sum it up, honestly, the concept is super cool but I think Fenty Beauty Snap Shadows Mix & Match Eyeshadow Palettes have an average formula. The texture is good but not amazing; it's easy to blend but doesn't have much-staying power or pigmentation.

I believe I can make these eyeshadows work and create a lovely look with them. The color palette is stunning, and I can see myself using it for a long time! However, because of the average formula, I don't think this encouraged me to try more of Fenty Beauty's eyeshadow products!

Overall, while this isn't my favorite eyeshadow formula out there (I do prefer other brands), it still gets a decent score from me because of its brilliant color scheme and beautiful shade selection!
